A man is in the hospital following a late night shooting in Deep Ellum.
Just before 11 p.m. a hail of gunfire erupted outside The Free Man Cajun Cafe and Lounge on Commerce just off Good Latimer Expressway.
Dallas police taped off a crime scene in front of the club, closing down Commerce for hours while crime scene technicians gathered evidence including numerous spent shell casings littering the street.
Police are not saying if the wounded man was the target of the gunfire or was, perhaps, caught in the line of fire.
His wounds were said to be serious but no updates on his condition have been supplied
