A man is in a Fort Worth hospital recovering from stab wounds, but even so, he's the one police are going to charge.
On Wednesday, police say just past 6:30 p.m. a man called 9-1-1 saying his wife had stabbed him.
Paramedics and police got to the home on Preston Hollow Road in the Fort Worth Tanglewood neighborhood and found the man bleeding from cuts on the hands, arms and legs.
He was rushed to a local hospital and was reported to be in stable condition.
Back at the home, police talked to the wife who said they had been quarreling when her husband assaulted her. The woman said she feared for her life so she grabbed a knife and used it to defend herself.
Reports say she had some minor injuries and was checked out by paramedics at home.
Although her husband is still in the hospital, he's considered to be in police custody.
