Lines will be long today in Frisco where the new H-E-B supermarket is opening Wednesday.
Newcomers to Texas are often surprised by the strong loyalty Texans feel for the home-grown chain which is based in San Antonio and which was founded in 1905 with its first store in Kerrville.
Collin County has been anticipating the opening of its first H-E-B and the store is planning for big crowds. Frisco police are also planning, posting a map of the location at Legacy and Main showing roads in and out with coned off stretches and barricades to direct traffic.
A statement from Frisco Police says "use this map to plan your route, bring along some patience, and be kind to the motorists around you. It's safe to say there are more than a few folks that have been waiting for their doors to open!"
