
Kids who attend Big Springs Elementary School in the Richardson School District will have to learn virtually for the rest of the week because of a spike in coronavirus cases.

The district says COVID-19 cases are on the rise among both staff and students. Since Monday the school has had 24 positive cases, and are waiting on more COVID test results.
On Tuesday, officials say at least 17% of the campus was absent.
The Dallas County Health Department recommended the school go virtual the rest of the week leading up to the Winter Break.
