A Plano resident is injured after their home was engulfed in flames on Friday evening.
The fire started around 6:00 p.m. at a home in the 1600 block of Cherbough Drive.
The resident was able to escape the burning house, just as first responders were arriving, and was taken to a nearby hospital to be checked out for light smoke annihilation.
Firefighters entered the home as soon as they arrived, however, they soon had to evacuate the house, and fight the fire from the outside
So far, there has not been a further update on the resident's condition.
