Police: Burleson homicide suspect in custody, investigation ongoing

A man wanted in connection to a homicide in Burleson has been captured, according to the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office.

Tarrant County Sheriff deputies were called to a home on Oak Grove Road in Burleson around 9:30 Tuesday night about a fight between two men.

Reports say when officials arrived at the scene one man was laying on the ground in front of the residence, he had been stabbed multiple times. The victim was pronounced deceased upon arrival to the hospital.

The 22-year-old suspect, Nathan Wayne Spivey, fled the scene on foot.

While patrolling a wooded stretch of the 12500 block of Oak Grove Rd. South in unincorporated Tarrant County around 4:00 a.m. Thursday , deputies observed Spivey crawling through a ditch. He was arrested and taken to a local hospital for evaluation. He was later cleared by medical staff and transported to the Tarrant County Jail.
