The man killed in a Christmas Eve gunfight with Weatherford police and DPS troopers has now been identified.
Weatherford Police say a Minnesota man identified as Michael Delaney was driving a car stolen at gunpoint in Georgia.
At the end of a chase in Parker County, the car crashed and Delaney hopped out and opened fire on the officers and troopers chasing him.
Investigators say Delaney fired more than two dozen rounds from a Taurus 9mm pistol with an extended magazine. Delaney was killed by return fire.
In addition to the Georgia car-jacking, Delaney was also wanted for questioning in a Michigan murder.
