Police release surveillance video that can help locate suspect who shot woman at Sunnyvale apartments

Nearly two months after a woman was shot to death in the parking lot of a Sunnyvale apartment complex, police are releasing a new surveillance video they hope will lead to the killer. The reward for helping solve the murder has also been increased.

The reward for helping the police has been bumped up to $25,000 dollars. The surveillance video shows the car driven by 27-year-old Tyesha Merritt of Mesquite in the parking lot of apartments off Planter's Road in Sunnyvale on June 4th.

Merritt's brother and his three children were also injured. All have recovered. Sunnyvale Police Chief Bill Vegas says experts have interviewed the children and have come up with a working description of the attacker.

The car seen in the video is described as a late-model Toyota Camry with custom wheels. Sunnyvale police are hoping someone from the public will help identify whoever the gunman is.

Sunnyvale police are turning to the public to help solve a 2-month-old murder. Anyone with information is asked to call North Texas Crime Stoppers at 877-373-8477. Information leading to an arrest or indictment could come with a reward of $25,000.
