The massacre at the Allen Outlet mall Saturday was a pre-mediated, targeted attack. That's the latest from investigators who are searching for a motive.
An investigation by our news partner NBC 5 indicates that the gunman in Saturday's shooting at the Allen Premium Outlets, 33-year-old Mauricio Garcia, may have scouted the mall for months.
Reports say posts made to a Russian social media site coming from a page believed to have belonged to Garcia show photos and images of the mall's parking lot and the outside of the H&M store where the shooting took place.
Another post showed how Saturday afternoons are when the mall is its busiest.
These are some of the things investigators are combing through as they work to establish exactly what led Garcia to kill eight people, including three children, before he was shot dead by police.
Investigators have yet to release a motive on Saturday’s shooting or why Garcia chose to specifically target the Allen shopping mall.
