New hospital admissions and visits to the ER for COVID-19 are going down.
A report released earlier this week from UT Southwestern shows that the downward trend of COVID-19 infections will continue. The total number of COVID patients in both Dallas and Tarrant Counties is expected to decline over the next several weeks to levels well below last summer's surge.
However, researchers are urging everyone to get the COVID vaccine, calling it the most powerful tool that we have to prevent severe cases of the disease.
