Don your cloaks, dust off your flower crowns, and polish your body armor - Scarborough Renaissance Festival is about to return to Waxahachie.
The festival opens its doors on April 9th and will run until May 30th, open Saturdays, Sundays, and Memorial Day Monday from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m.
Each weekend will be themed, starting with 'Travel Back in Time' on April 9+10, 'Artisan Showcase and Easter' on April 16+17, 'Viking and Ale' on April 23+24, 'Chivalry' on May 7+8, 'legends of the seas' on May 14+15, 'Celtic' on May 21+22, and 'The Last Huzzah' on May 28-30.
Those who attend the festivities can enjoy shopping for costumes, handmade wares, foods, or an ale or three.
Elsewhere, you can try your hand at archery, knife/axe throwing, or the crossbow amongst others. Youngsters can also enjoy the barrel ride, carousel, and pirate ship swing.
As always, there will also be numerous performers on the various stages including musicians, comedians, and historic weapons demonstrators.
