Lashun Massey, the reigning Mrs. Dallas Pageant Queen, had disappeared Tuesday under unusual circumstances. On Thursday morning a body found in a canal off of Lago de Claire was identified as that of Massey by the Dallas County Medical Examiner's Office, per NBCDFW.

Police said Massey was last seen around 5 a.m. on Tuesday, walking on a sidewalk near Lago de Claire in the La Vallita subdivision in Irving. Police said going for a walk or run early in the morning was part of Massey’s daily routine, but when she didn’t return home, her husband started to worry.

Massey’s husband called police around 7:40 a.m. Not only did Massey not return to get her kids ready for school like she usually does, police said she is thought to have had her phone with her, but it had been turned off. She left her purse, wallet and keys at home.

Massey’s disappearance was considered unusual, police said, but at this time no foul play is suspected.

Crews had previously searched Lago de Claire with sonar equipment ... but they found no reported signs of Massey.

Massey, who was set to compete in the Mrs. Texas America Pageant later this year, was last seen wearing a black hoodie and checkered pajama pants.
