
One driver died in a fiery, one-car crash in northeast Dallas over the weekend.
Late Saturday night, the car was heading east on Northwest Highway near Audelia when, for reasons still unknown, it veered off the highway and slammed into a concrete barrier, bursting into flames. The driver died in the burning wreckage.
A woman died in a Fort Worth incident on I-35 near Risinger. On Sunday, the victim was found dead on the freeway. Witnesses tell investigators the woman was struck by a vehicle. Police are not saying if the driver stopped to help. The south-bound lanes of 35 were closed for about three hours for the investigation and clean-up.
A Fort Worth-area woman was been killed in a Sunday crash outside of Cleburne where police say she was driving east-bound on a rural stretch of Industrial Boulevard northwest of town. Her car crashed off the roadway and slammed into a tree, killing Monica Flores on impact. Police have not determined why Flores lost control of her car.
A driver died in Haslet over the weekend in a head-on crash with a tanker truck. On Saturday night, a Kia Forte collided with the tanker on Blue Mound Road. The Kia burst into flames and the driver was trapped. Some Good Samaritans pulled the driver out but it was too late. The driver of the tanker did not suffer serious injuries.
