
The roads are pretty good today for traffic, quite a contrast with yesterday's traffic woes caused by the severe storms.
MedStar ambulance service says it responded to more than dozen crashes in Tarrant County just between 4 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. during the worst of the storm.
Two of those crashes were rollover accidents. Five people were taken to the hospital.
Dallas Fire-Rescue says they responded to 39 vehicle crashes, 11 reports of downed utility wires and seven high water incidents.
The National Weather Service issued a flash flood warning for parts of Dallas and Tarrant counties. The weather service also had several reports of flooded roadways in downtown Fort Worth and North Richland Hills.
Early Friday morning in Grand Prairie one lane of west-bound I-20 remains closed off near Carrier Parkway because of high water.
Severe thunderstorm warnings were also in effect for most of the region late into the afternoon and into the evening in Dallas County.
