The smallest baby ever born at Medical City Arlington is home just in time for Christmas.

Paris Nguyen was less than a pound when she was born at just 23 weeks. At just 450 grams, she was tinier than a hand.

After 116 days in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, her parents carried her outside for the first time.

Raghu Turebylu, MD, Medical City Arlington neonatology physician says “Paris was an extremely premature baby with very low odds of survival. Seeing her come through is such a joyful thing.”

Parents Duc Nguyen and Uyen Lam are thrilled to have their daughter home for the holidays. They’re calling it a miracle but say without her doctors the miracle wouldn't have happened.
