A teenage girl from Randall County is about to become hundreds of thousands of dollars richer after the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo crowned its grand champion steer on Friday.

The steer is a European Cross named Snoop Dog, shown by 15-year-old Sadie Wampler.

Snoop Dog tips the scales at 1,343 lbs.

As grand champion, Snoop Dog will be the first steer to be auctioned off at Saturday morning's Junior Sale of Champions.

Last year's grand champion, named Steve, also a European Cross, sold for a record $310,000.
