Dallas police will no longer report to certain so-called low level crimes, instead you'll have to report those yourself.

Dallas Police Chief Eddie Garcia says the department's created a list of what they consider to be low priority situations which will now require you to fill out an online form instead of dialing 9-1-1.

“We want our officers to be available to respond quickly and efficiently to any high-priority call,” Garcia said during a news conference announcing the change in June, according to NBC 5.

Beginning Monday July 3, some of the incidents that will now be reported online include minor traffic accidents with no injuries, criminal mischief, and identity theft reports are on the list of incidents that will not bring an officer to the scene.
