
Law enforcement officials say the standoff that lasted more than five hours in Tarrant County is now over. The sheriff's department says the suspect set his home on fire and injured an officer.
Reports say it started arund 9:30 a.m. Thursday when deputies showed up at the home on Indian Creek Road to serve a felony warrant.
When they got there the unidentified man inside the home starting firing shots at officers from multiple sides of the home. Deputies moved to defensive positions in an attempt to negotiate with the suspect.
SWAT was called to the scene and began tactical measures to get the suspect to come out of the home. The suspect continued firing rounds at law enforcement throughout the standoff.
It appeared the suspect dropped incendiary devices on the front porch of the home during the standoff.
At some point, a fire started in the area where the incendiary devices were dropped.
An officer suffered injuries during the standoff and is ok at this time.
No other details as to how the standoff ended have been released at this time.
This is a very active scene with law enforcement and fire personnel working the scene. The public should avoid the area. We will release more information as it becomes available.
