As we continue to deal with the heat across North Texas we now have word from the Tarrant County Medical Examiner's office that 10 people have died because of the heat since the beginning of May.
All their deaths were ruled as hyperthermia and half of the victims were elderly people with no air conditioning. The Medical Examiner's office said other contributing factors were that they didn't have working air conditioning, the A/C was turned off, or the victims were homeless.
The victims ranged in age from 58 to 88.
