A Tarrant County man is going to prison for 30 years after pleading guilty in a Forest Hills murder case from 2019.

The Tarrant County District Attorney's office says Ryan Rogers pleaded guilty to murdering Jacob Karr in a drug deal.

Reports say the two met at a gas station for the transaction. Karr got into Rogers' vehicle to buy marijuana but an argument broke out, ending when Rogers pulled a pistol and shot Karr in the back.

During sentencing, Karr's aunt Lisa Stuckey told Rogers .you made us all murder victims. You deserve every second of what's coming to you."
