In Fort Worth last night, Texas favorite Simone Biles won her seventh US gymnastics title setting herself up for a trip to the Olympic games in Tokyo next month.
After the final night of competition at Dickies Arena, Biles' overall score of 119.65 was almost five points better than runner-up Suni Lee.
Biles raised in Spring, Texas was tops in three of the four women's events: the Vault, Balance Beam and Floor Exercise.
On the men's side, Stanford gymnast Brody Malone won with an overall score of 170.7.
Watching Biles make history is inspiring for millions of people, especially women and young girls, many of whom turned out at Dickies Arena last night.
"I think girls getting to see people who look like her … that's just amazing, right?" one spectator told our partners at NBC 5. "Having those heroes be someone that you look like is great."
"I think she's really brave and confident," says another young fan. "She doesn't give up real easily."
