There are two states that had a full third of all the COVID-19 cases in the country in the last week.

Texas and Florida.

The COVID-19 response coordinator at the White House says the U.S. had almost 600,000 cases in the last week.

Johns Hopkins reports Florida had more than 110,000 of them, and Texas came in second place with more than 68,500. The CDC says the Delta variant now makes up more than 80% of the new COVID-19 cases in Texas.
