JACKSBORO (1080 KRLD)- Reports out of Jacksboro are that the high school and a grade school took a direct hit from a tornado.
The roof of the High School gym has been torn off, the elementary school next door had damage and the hospital -- in the same area-- was also hit.
A member of the City Council tells KRLD's L.P Phillips that the schools were let out at 3:30 Monday afternoon because school officials were concerned about the weather. But, it was only 15 to 20-minutes later that the tornado hit.
Shane Graves lives across the street from the schools. He saw the tornado go right past his house before hitting the school. He's shared some images with KRLD.

Tornado Warnings and Severe Thunderstorm warnings have been issued for across North Texas Monday evening.
