
Turkey producers have been hit with an increase in costs this year, and that will impact the price that customers pay at the grocery store as they're shopping for Thanksgiving.
Industry analysts have noted that feed grain prices have increased along with fuel and labor costs.
"I have never seen it this high. I have no explanation for it other than feed costs," said Greenberg. "But they're high, and they're scarce. We're just lucky to have them, especially since we just have one product."
The American Farm Bureau Federation is scheduled to release its annual Thanksgiving dinner cost survey in about two weeks.
