An under-demolition apartment building in Dallas is a smoky, soggy mess from last night's three-alarm fire near Reverchon Park in Turtle Creek.
Dallas Fire Rescue crew got the call a little before 11 p.m. and rolled to a three-floor building on Turtle Creek Boulevard, a block off Maple.
Official reports say the fire was already burning fiercely and it was too dangerous to send anyone inside so commanders set up a perimeter with fire apparatus pouring on water from above while firefighters turned their hoses on the flames from below.
The building was vacant and being prepared for demolition so investigators have not decided what the cause is.
