Two arrested in the murder of Garland mother while on burglary spree

GARLAND (1080 KRLD)- Two people have been arrested in the murder of a woman who was shot multiple times during a burglary in Garland on Monday.

Kvaughandre Presley and Gabriela Liliana Torres were located and arrested in Dallas, Monday morning. They are now being held at the Garland Detention Center.

Police identified the suspects caught on surveillance video arriving at a residence in the 700 block of Briar Way, where police arrived responding to gunshot wound call.

Patricia Eifert was inside that residence and died at the scene of multiple gunshot wounds. Police say the suspects had entered through the garage and shot Patricia while attempting to burglarize vehicles. Eifert was the mother of the couple living at that residence and had been helping them move in.

Presley and Torres are said to have continued on their burglary spree with the use of handgun.

Their bonds are set at $1 million dollars for Presley and $750,000 for Torres.
