Two men who stole guns from a man in Arlington are going to spend some time in federal prison.

Prosecutors say 20-year-old Cuedell Javon Henry and 25-year-old Tyrique Raashad Wesley contacted the victim in the case who had posted an ad online that he was selling two 9-millimeter pistols.

Officials say they arranged to meet in a parking lot in Arlington. But when the victim showed the men the two unloaded weapons, one of the suspects then put some ammunition in the pistol and pointed it at the victim.

Officials say the suspects took both guns and fled the scene, but the victim was able to give police some information that helped officers track them down.

Both suspects pled guilty to charges of possession of a stolen firearm. Henry is going to prison for 10 years and Wesley is going to prison for just over eight years.

“It is legal for hobbyists to sell off a few guns, but we urge them to exercise caution when doing so. Criminals – particularly those legally barred from possessing firearms – will often stop at nothing, including violence, to get their hands on guns,” said U.S. Attorney Chad E. Meacham.
