Fort Worth police say the crime happened about 8:30 p.m. Thursday in the Rosemont neighborhood where gunshots were exchanged during a carjacking outside a home on South Adams near Hemphill and Seminary.

Teoprts say the victim and the carjacker wounded each other but the suspect got away in the man's car. But he didn't get far.

Within a few minutes, about four miles away, a 911 caller said there was a bleeding man there claiming he'd been shot. Police went to the location near East Davis and I-35W where they found not only the wounded man but the stolen car, too.

Both men were transported to local hospitals. The unidentified carjacker was in serious condition and his victim was listed as being in stable condition.
