Hundreds of colleges and universities are making COVID-19 vaccinations mandatory if students want to attend classes in person in the fall. But, we haven't heard much about the penalties that would happen if they refuse.
West Virginia Wesleyan announced that students will be fined $750 if they don't have the COVID-19 vaccine. Plus, they'll have to go through weekly testing.
And the school says if students come down with COVID-19 and have to quarantine they'll face a $250 fine.
The university says those fines will go to pay for more COVID-19 testing and other safety resources.
