A Fort Worth woman and her teenage son have been identified as the victims in Tuesday's double-murder-suicide in an apartment on the far west side.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner says Holly Beverly and her son Titus Akins were both shot to death in their apartment near I-30 and Loop 820.

They died just past midnight Tuesday which was Akins' 17th birthday.

A third person was found dead in the apartment and has not been identified publicly.

Fort Worth police have said it appears the shootings were a case of domestic violence.

According to a GoFundMe page set up on behalf of Beverly's surviving children, ages 18 and 12, she was a teacher at Hope Works Christian Academy in Fort Worth where Akins recently graduated.
