Police say a man identified as Rickey Gossett and woman named Danielle Jones were both fatally shot by an unknown man who opened fire from outside the Bitter End Club located at Elm street and Malcolm X Blvd.

Detectives believe Gossett was the target while Jones was unfortunate enough to be in the line of fire.

In addition, a third person was injured when he was hit by a bullet fragment. He was taken to a hospital by private vehicle with non-life threatening injuries.

Reports say the killer got away by running north on Elm. Witnesses said the suspect was a Black man wearing a ski mask and a black hoodie.
