Dallas County investigators are still looking for the tow truck driver who caused a crash that led to a Good Samaritan's death in Dallas over the weekend.

The tragic chain of events began on I-30 near 2nd Avenue when the tow truck slammed into a van, causing the van to spin into the median.

Police say the tow truck driver took off and Sheriff's deputies are still looking for him. As the tow truck sped off, a man stopped at the scene to help the occupants of the van. That's when an SUV slammed into the van and the Good Samaritan, identified as Donald Collins who died at the hospital.

A passenger in the SUV was also taken to the hospital but the driver, identified as Irma Martinez-Leal, was arrested on a charge of Intoxicated Manslaughter and two charges of Intoxicated Assault with a Vehicle.

The search continues for the tow truck driver. Dallas Sheriff's investigators are hoping to hear from any drivers along that stretch of I-30 near Second just before 12:30 a.m. Saturday. Any other dash cam video will help in their investigation.
