With summer coming to an end, more people are focusing on elections. In Denton, residents will have the opportunity to decide whether to decriminalize marijuana. Many cities and counties in Texas have already taken action to decriminalize the drug.

This week on North Texas Wants to Know, University of North Texas political science professor Kimi King explains whether the marijuana legislation in Denton could influence other cities in Texas. Robert Head, CEO of Hemp for Victory, says decriminalizing marijuana would be beneficial, while Denton City Council member Jesse Davis voices concerns over the way the city is going about the vote.
