Police in White Settlement is searching for a motorcyclist who performed some dangerous stunts while leading officers on a brief high-speed chase on Friday. Police ended the pursuit before capturing the rider because of the danger to other drivers on the road.
Officers originally tried to pull over the motorcycle because it did not have any license plates.
"He began to encircle the officer on his motorcycle, taunting him. He did this twice. It's very dangerous behavior," said White Settlement Police Chief Christopher Cook. The officer did briefly pursue the motorcyclist.
"We made the decision based on how fast he was driving...we terminated the pursuit on the freeway," said Chief Cook.
The suspect is described as an Asian-American or Hispanic male. He was riding a blue and white motorcycle and was wearing an orange shirt, a black vest and had a helmet with an orange visor.
"We think that somebody will recognize what he was wearing, the motorcycle, and can give us a tip. We would like to put him in jail as quickly as possible and seize his motorcycle for endangering the public," Chief Cook said.
Anyone with information about the case can contact Tarrant County Crime Stoppers at 817-469-TIPS. Tipsters can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward for information leading to the identity and prosecution of this offender. The community can also contact the White Settlement Police Department at 817-246-7070 or sperson@wspd.us.
