Recent research by the National Cancer Institute shows Texas and the North Texas area both have higher rates of liver cancer than the rest of the U.S. Health experts say the numbers are rising every year.

So what are the contributing factors?

Dr. Amit Singal, medical director of the Liver Tumor Program and clinical chief of hepatology professor at UT Southwestern, joined Ask the Expert on the KRLD Afternoon News to break down what the science shows.
