A woman is dead in Kaufman County and her 80-year-old mother has been arrested for the crime.
It happened a little before 5:00 p.m. Tuesday in the 12000 block of FM 1836 in Kaufman County. Officials say deputies were called about a domestic disturbance inside a home. By the time they arrived, Deputy Scott Whittaker with the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office says the victim was already dead.
“We observed the victim, a white female, 52 years of age, to be deceased with an apparent gunshot wound to her shoulder,” Whittaker says.
The woman’s elderly mother was arrested and charged with murder. At this time she has not been identified.
The shooting is still under investigation— no word on what led up to it.
