A man has a bullet wound in his arm after getting shot by the woman whose pick-up truck he was trying to steal in Fort Worth Wednesday evening.
Police reports say the woman had gone into a store on Benbrook Highway and left her truck running because she had a passenger in the back seat.
A man had just been booted out of the store for causing some trouble. As the driver went inside, the man jumped into her vehicle.
The man in the back seat asked him what he was doing and the man said he was taking the truck. But apparently he had some trouble getting it into gear and suddenly the woman reappeared with her pistol and shot the would-be thief in the arm.
Police say he ran for it, but they later found him bleeding down the street. He was treated at the hospital. It's not clear what charges he'll face.
