Police believe the gunman is still on the run after he wounded a woman in what may be a case of road rage Allen yesterday.

Officials say just before 2:00 p.m. the unidentified woman was driving on Ridgeview near West Stacy. Suddenly, a white car pulls up alongside and a man opened fire, letting loose with several rounds.

One of them struck the woman in the left arm and she was bleeding badly when the first officers arrived. They applied a tourniquet until paramedics got there and rushed her to the hospital.

Police believe her wound is not life-threatening. The only description of the gunman's vehicle is that it was a white car or possibly a small SUV.

The Allen Police Department is still investigating this incident. If anyone has any information regarding this incident, please contact Allen Police Investigator Julian Adames at 214-509-4256.
