A Wylie man who got an 11-year old girl pregnant has been sentenced to 65-year in prison.

Collin County District Attorney Greg Willis announced that 28-year-old Jose Manuel Rodriguez-Aguirre was sentenced to 65 years in prison without parole after a jury found him guilty of Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child.

Court records show a doctor learned the girl was pregnant during her routine annual checkup. This led to the victim disclosing the abuse to another family member. The abuse was then reported to CPS and to Wylie Police Department. A DNA test later confirmed the child was in fact fathered by Rodriguez-Aguirre.

“I’m amazed at the courage of this child, who mustered the strength to testify against her abuser,” stated Willis after sentencing.

The child was adopted by a couple in Belize after he was born.
