It seems TikTok is good for more than just dance moves.

A 19-year old Persian cat named Sammy recently got adopted from an Ohio shelter thanks to the popular video-sharing app.

The Cincinnati Animal CARE Humane Society recently used TikTok to highlight Sammy’s adoption availability on June 15, which was also the fuzzy feline’s 19th birthday.

Fox News noted the shelter’s loving note at the @cincyanimalcare account: "His only birthday wish is a new home where he can rest his head and be showered in love. Can you open your heart to this adorable and loving boy?"

Such humble requests have tugged harder than usual lately, as there’s proof pet adoptions have gone way up during the pandemic.

Sammy didn’t really need a sparkly top hat and birthday cake in the clip to tug at many TikTok users' hearts, but it sure didn’t hurt. The clip got over 63,000 likes, and Sammy had a new home within one day of the posting, according to the center.

So beloved was Sammy, the CARE center created a little kitty senior center in his honor.

Cincinnati Animal CARE did have one demand -- if you adopt Sammy, you have to throw a 20th birthday party for him next year.

We hope we get an invite.
