The message is the same: vaccines save lives. Health experts say it's even more important now for people to make sure that they're fully vaccinated against COVID-19, especially with the Omicron variant that still has a grip on the country.

Latest studies from the CDC find unvaccinated people are a full five times more likely to come down with the Omicron variant, compared to people who are fully vaxxed and boosted.

On Ask The Expert, Chief Medical Director at Parkland, Dr. Joseph Chang joined the KRLD Afternoon News to reiterate the importance of the shot despite a recent rise in "breakthrough" cases.
