Casey Anthony had people speculating that she wanted to get answers surrounding the death of her 2-year-old daughter Caylee when she filed paperwork to open a private investigation company in South Florida.
Now, sources are saying that's not the case.
Anthony was charged with first-degree murder when, after 31 days, Anthony's mother Cindy reported Caylee missing. Caylee's remains were ultimately found in a wooded lot just one-third of a mile from the family home.
Anthony's 2011 trial was in the spotlight for some time, with at least 40 million people watching the testimony. After being deemed "one of the most hated women in America" by a Florida Department of Corrections spokeswoman, Anthony is starting a new venture.
According to People, a source close to Anthony has said that the incident involving the death of her daughter, for which she was acquitted, is "a closed chapter in her life." "She's not starting a company to get answers about Caylee," the source said.
Instead, Anthony is maintaining her innocence and attempting to start her new firm with wrongfully accused individuals in mind. "She knows what it's like to be accused of something that she didn't do," the source explains.
"She wants to help other wrongfully accused people, especially women, and help them get justice," the source continued.
However, Anthony's new business is still in the very early stages, and the source has revealed that Anthony has yet to take on any clients. "It's in the very early stages," the source said. "She has big plans for her future, and hopes that it will change how people see her."
