Here's what Trump did after his indictment

Donald Trump had a lifechanging day on Thursday when he became the first former or sitting president in history to be indicted on criminal charges. But judging by his behavior, you wouldn't really know it.

According to reports, Trump had a relatively normal Thursday evening -- first, catching dinner with his wife followed by a night of his usual angry posting to social media.

Just hours after he was indicted by a grand jury on criminal charges involving an alleged hush money payment to adult film star Stormy Daniels to keep a sexual encounter under wraps, Trump sat down for dinner with his wife Melania at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida.

According to the New York Post, guests were standing and applauding when Trump entered the dining area and was greeted by well-wishers. He was seated at a large table surrounded by a group of friends and supporters, according to the report.

Trump Adviser Gina Loudon tweeted photos of Trump from the dinner, saying it was a "beautiful evening."

"Our REAL First Couple enveloped in the love of their friends and most loyal," she wrote.

After dinner, Trump retreated to his Truth Social media platform where he made angry posts about the indictment well into the early morning hours.

Initially, Trump attacked the "thugs and radical left monsters" who pursued the indictment, insisting he was only targeted because he's the leading candidate in the 2024 presidential election. "THIS IS AN ATTACK ON OUR COUNTRY THE LIKES OF WHICH HAS NEVER BEEN SEEN BEFORE," Trump wrote when news of the indictment first broke at 6:37 p.m. "IT IS LIKEWISE A CONTINUING ATTACK ON OUR ONCE FREE AND FAIR ELECTIONS. THE USA IS NOW A THIRD WORLD NATION, A NATION IN SERIOUS DECLINE. SO SAD!"

"They only brought this Fake, Corrupt, and Disgraceful Charge against me because I stand with the American People, and they know that I cannot get a fair trial in New York," he wrote at 8:05 p.m.

About 40 minutes later, he added "These Corrupt Democrat Prosecutors, all from poorly run and very dangerous Democrat run cities, are not going to choose the Republican Nominee, or the next President of the United States!"

Throughout the night, he continued to share videos of interviews and official statements from politicians and others who shared his outrage over the situation.

Then at 2:20 a.m., Trump shared the results of a Quinnipiac University poll that showed 62% of Americans believe the Manhattan DA's case is politically motivated, versus 32% who think it's motivated by the law.

"So Sad," he wrote.

His last post of the evening, at 2:46 a.m., asked "WHERE'S HUNTER," in reference to President Joe Biden's son, whom he thinks should be under investigation for corruption.

Trump was back at it again by 6:45 a.m., sharing more videos of pundits criticizing the criminal charges.

At 9:50 a.m. he spoke up again, writing "The Judge 'assigned' to my Witch Hunt Case, a 'Case' that has NEVER BEEN CHARGED BEFORE, HATES ME. His name is Juan Manuel Marchan, was hand picked by Bragg & the Prosecutors, & is the same person who 'railroaded' my 75 year old former CFO, Allen Weisselberg, to take a 'plea' deal (Plead GUILTY, even if you are not, 90 DAYS, fight us in Court, 10 years (life!) in jail. He strong armed Allen, which a judge is not allowed to do, & treated my companies, which didn't 'plead,' VICIOUSLY. APPEALING!"

The exact charges against Trump are still under seal, but the former president has insisted he's committed no crimes. At this point, it appears Trump will most likely surrender in Lower Manhattan on Tuesday, but that's still being worked out between the New York prosecutors and Trump's lawyers.
