Lubbock man Chris Miller became the first customer at the first Whataburger in Colorado, and waited four days in sub-zero temperatures to do so.

According to the San Antonio Express News, Miller used his Whataburger scarf and space heater to keep warm while waiting the four days in his truck, all for free Whataburger for a year, the prize guaranteed to the store's first customer.

Though Miller was the first in line, he wasn't the only one.

Dozens of people lined up outside the restaurant while hundreds of cars "sat safely and sanely in their cars and trucks in a drive-thru lane."

The new Colorado Springs Whataburger was the first of two stores set to open in the city this year.

Miller enjoyed his No. 5 with his family, saying it didn't disappoint. "Everything is wonderful. Just like Texas. Just like home, " he said.
