Will Smith is still feeling the reaction to his slapping Chris Rock during the Oscars.
Almost 90 percent of America has seen the clip or heard about it. That is about the same awareness as America has about Russia's war in Ukraine.
And that one slap and follow-up have cost Will a lot of goodwill that took years for him to build up.
A new survey from Morning Consult finds his popularity has fallen off a cliff. In 2020, 80 percent of people said they have a positive view of Will Smith as a person.
After the slap, his favorability rating dropped 30 points to 50 percent.
Chris Rock's positive number grew to 60 percent.
