In a new attack ad released as part of his campaign to regain the Presidency in 2024, former President Donald Trump’s team is looking to demonstrate that America is worse off under the Joe Biden regime than during Trump’s tenure in the White House.
Among other things, the ad features images of a police car on fire and a group of migrants.
There’s just one problem. Both of those photographs were taken in 2020 while Trump actually was still in charge.
Additionally, while the ad seems to suggest the migrants in the photo are crossing over into the U.S., the reality is that the picture shows them moving between Mexico and Guatemala.
When asked about the photos in the ad, Trump spokesperson Steven Cheung did not respond.
With Biden officially announcing his re-election campaign, it would appear 2024 will be a repeat of the 2020 election, with both Biden and Trump currently the clear frontrunners in their respective parties.
