Former President Donald Trump has set a date for a rally next month in Iowa, the Des Moine Register reported.
According to a source familiar with the plans that informed the Register, Trump will return the Hawkeye State on October 9, 2021, at the Iowa State Fairgrounds, said the Register.
In August, Trump told a radio host he planned to visit Iowa for a rally, but he was mum on other details.

Last week, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) told a GOP chapter meeting that the former president intended to announce his 2024 presidential campaign “any day now.” An unnamed source at the event said Trump would travel to Iowa “imminently.”
The all-important caucus state is the first in the nation each election year to formally show how it feels about candidates, fueling speculation the Republican could make a run for the Oval Office again. A Trump-connected political actional committee hired two political consultants in Iowa last month.
Other Republicans have set their sights on the White House for 2024. As a result, some have begun hosting fundraisers and attending other events in Iowa.
Trump won Iowa’s electoral college votes in 2016 by more than 9% and in 2020 by around 8%. However, a June Des Moines Register/Mediacom Iowa poll showed Iowans uniformly split on the former president: 49% of voters support him versus 49% who do not.
National polls show Trump maintains a stronghold on Republican voters. But, on the other hand, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis claims a large, growing chunk of potential voters without him in the race.
