The first week of early voting is in... and overall, around the state, the numbers of early voters are way down. The Texas Secretary of State's office says, fewer than 3 percent of registered voters voted early. That's down 15 percent compared to 2018's midterms.

You have until Friday to cast your ballots for the midterm primaries. Election Day itself is coming up a week from tomorrow, March 1st.
There are several interesting races on the ballot this year, with the Governor and Texas Attorney General getting the most press and publicity lately.
But, we also vote for all the members of the House of Representatives. This is also the first election since the state legislature made changes to the voting laws in Texas with Senate Bill 1. It's also the first election since the legislature redistricted after the 2020 Census.
