More than $7-million for O'Rourke and more than twice that for Abbott in the final six months of 2021.
As of the end of the year, Abbott had $65 million in his campaign warchest. Four years ago O'Rourke, a former El Paso Congressman, raised $80 million in his unsuccessful bid to unseat Texas Senator Ted Cruz.
O'Rourke also raised millions of campaign dollars in his failed attempt at the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination.
