Creepy looking organisim washes up on Bolivar Peninsula, but what is it?

"What nightmares are made of." That's how one woman described a creepy, toothy thing that washed up the beach on the Bolivar Peninsula.

Facebook user Patricia Ducot posted a photo of the critter on the Facebook page of the Bolivar Beachcombers. The picture does indeed look creepy.

It's roughly circular and flat with what look like short tentacles or feathers around the perimeter and a bunch of sharp, white teeth in the middle.

Texas Parks & Wildlife believes it is most likely a large sport fish that someone probably caught and filleted.

The TP&W further says "the feathery parts are the gills while the spikey bits in the top middle are pharyngeal teeth."
